Marianne Maderna

Marianne Maderna was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1944. From 1959 to 1964 she attended the Graphische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt, Vienna. This was followed by studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, which she completed in 1972. In 1991 she was awarded the Lower Austrian State Prize for Fine Arts. In 1996, she was awarded the Prize of the City of Vienna for Sculpture. In 2018, she received the Grand Decoration of Honor for Services to the Province of Lower Austria. In 2014, she founded her own Marianne Maderna Museum (MMMuseum) in the Kartause Aggsbach. Marianne Maderna lives in Vienna and Aggsbach-Dorf.
