Lili Dujourie

Lili Dujourie was born in Roeselare, Belgium, in 1941. From 1989 to 1990 she was a scholarship holder of the DAAD Artists' Program in Berlin. She has had important solo exhibitions, including at de Appel Amsterdam (1988), Bonner Kunstverein (1990), Münchner Kunstverein (1998) and BOZAR in Brussels (2005). She participated in Documenta 12 (2007), the 7th Gwangju Biennale (2008), and the 9th Sharjah Biennale (2009). Since the early 1970s, the artist has created video performances that are counted among the key works of feminist post-avant-garde. She has also worked in the medium of sculpture since the mid-1980s. Dujourie lives and works in Ghent.
