Klaus Scherübel
Klaus Scherübel was born in 1968 in Bruck an der Mur, Styria, Austria. From 1989 to 1993 he studied at the University (then College) of Applied Arts in Vienna. Scherübel is an artist, curator and editor of art books. He completed artist residencies with the International Artists' Studio Program (IASPIS) in Stockholm, Sweden in 2003 and the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York, United States in 2002. In 1993 he was awarded the Promotion Prize of the Province of Styria. He has participated internationally in numerous group and solo exhibitions and in presentations of artists books, including in 2015 at the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig (mumok) Vienna, Austria, in 2016 at the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec, Québec, Canada, in 2018 the Generali Foundation Collection—Permanent Loan to the Museum der Moderne Salzburg, Austria, and in 2019 the Tufts University Art Gallery, Medford, Massachusetts, USA. Klaus Scherübel lives and works in Montréal, Canada.
