Karl Kowanz

Karl Kowanz was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1951. He studied at the University (then College) of Applied Arts, Vienna, from 1971 to 1975. From 1980 to 1993 he taught New Media at the University (then College) of Applied Arts, Vienna. In 1993 he received the recognition award for video art from the Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture. Karl Kowanz lives in Vienna.
