Judith Barry
Judith Barry was born in Columbus, Ohio, USA, in 1954. She studied at the University of California, Berkeley and the New York Institute of Technology, graduating with a master's degree in 1987. She has taught at the Merz Akademie, Stuttgart and the Art Institute of Boston, among others. In 2000, he was awarded the Friedrich Kiesler Prize. In 2001, she was awarded the Best Pavilion Prize at the Cairo Biennial and in 2011, she received a Guggenheim Fellowship. She has participated in numerous biennials including Berlin, Carnegie International, documenta (13), Nagoya, São Paulo, Sydney, Sharjah, and Whitney. Since 2017, Barry has held a professorship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
