Jochen Gerz

Jochen Gerz was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1940. He first studied German, English and Sinology in Cologne. He then began studying archaeology and prehistory in Basel. From 1966 to 2007 Gerz lived in France and since 2008 in Ireland (Sneem, Co. Kerry).
