Itsuko Hasegawa
Itsuko Hasegawa was born in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1942. She graduated in architecture from Kanto Gakuin University in Yokohama in 1964. From 1989 to 1992 she taught at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and 1992 to 1993 at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, among others. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Japan Cultural Design Prize from the Japan Institute of Architecture in 1986 and the Japan Art Academy Award in 2000. She held a professorship at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg. Itsuko Hasegawa lives in Tokyo, Japan.
