Fareed Armaly
Fareed Armaly was born in 1957 to a Lebanese-Palestinian family in Iowa City, USA, and grew up in New York.
His work includes editing the magazines Terminal Zone and R.O.O.M.. (1987-89); exhibition projects such as From/To (1999 Witte de With; 2002 Documenta 11); He was co-curator (Louisiana Museum, Denmark, 1996); artistic director (Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, 1999-2002); received commissions from Musée d'art et d'histoire, Geneva (2007) and conceived projects for Ramallah Museum (2013-15), NTU CCA, Singapore (2015); for Empty Fields, SALT, Istanbul (2016). ER has taught at international institutions, including the University of Hamburg and the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences. Works can be found, among others, at the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig (mumok), Vienna and in the Generali Foundation Collection--Permanent Loan to the Museum der Moderne Salzburg. Fareed Armaly lives and works in London.
