Artwork text

Franz West, who has since become a world-renowned artist, tries to follow the instructions of Friedl Kubelka and looks only at the camera. It seems he is unable to arrive at a genuine facial expression. Various moods and possible identities follow one another in rapid succession. An expression of deep melancholy and unhappiness takes hold, just for a few seconds. All of this takes place within the comfortable atmosphere of the Viennese coffeehouse.
