The film BB is an effective, large-scale examination and demonstration of media. BB as title equates with Bundesbahn (Federal Railways) or an association with Brigitte Bardot as film icon. (A few years after this film I did a Super 8 movie project with Brigitte Bardot in Paris and Gstaad, which was unfortunately broken off at an early stage.) BB is a phenomenology of film editing and zoom shots. An unreal “plot” becomes cinematic reality by means of a zoom and a scene shift; and that in winter. (Gottfried Bechtold)
