Klaus Auderer

Biographie

Klaus Auderer was born in Ehenbichl, Austria in1968 and studied fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich from 1996 to 2001, and also at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Tel Aviv from 2002 to 2003. His artistic production includes photography, installation, video, and as he says himself, the “misuse of painting.” His works reflect the results and impressions of his intense grappling with the cultures of the Middle East, their origins, commonalities, and also differences from the West, as well as their conflicts and socio-political impacts. Solo exhibitions by the artist have been shown at the Kunstraum Innsbruck (2004), Galerie foto-forum, Bolzano (2007) and in the exhibition series of the photo wall + video wall at the Kunsthalle Wien (2008), among others. Auderer lives and works in Munich.
